MSN messenger is not so stable recently...loss its connection from time to time (well, may be it;s just only me...). hmm...going to try this new Yahoo messenger and let's see how good is it. Thanks for the info btw :)
this is good news that this yahoo messenger keeps improving. just ups the ante for others to improve. i've always been more of a fan of AIM but have used yahoo on occasion. just hope google ads AIM into their new chrome browser.

I use YIM 8.1.0.421, and it constantly drops calls to others using YIM. Even though this post is from 07, version 9 is not out yet? I upgraded to the latest version in an effort to fix the dropped calls problem, but still no luck. Do you have to be a BETA tester to get version 9?
can't wait to try it out. Seems like i am going 2 be addicted to this. when is this going to be out?

With all the ways we can now communicate on free sponsor supported programs, how long untill someone creates a "free" cell phone service that forces you to listen to a recorded message everytime you dial someone instead of a ring? Maybe its already been done?..

Wow, its looks awesome.. very attractive and appealing design and moreover the features are far more interesting than other IM programs.
Hi Ascetic, installed it , but had to unintstall it , it ran more than 50% cpu and services at 15 to 25%, not sure what was wrong, they should have a report bugs or why did you uninstall query after unistall .
Never mind maybe in a couple of monmths I will try again.V.

I'm sorry to say but I don't like Yahoo messenger...I am much happy and comfortable using Gtalk.

It looks nice and all, but of all the Instant messengers I use, Yahoo is the only one that I continually get spammed on. Did they fix that?
The design and features are really good, and it goes very well with nowadays trend. But i get more crashes with yahoo messenger compared to other messengers!

Thanks for sharing all those features but it took a lot of resources which is almost very uncomfortable to tolerate with low resource PC. It crashed too often on my system that I had to reinstall my old version.

It is a terrific eye-opener.
One good thing about at versions of yahoo messengers latest than 7.5 is that passwords and usernames are not retrievable from any kind of softwares. This was the biggest threat for users and I have personally lost my yahoo account for the same reason.
